The Singapore property market is made up of several segments. They can be broadly classified as:
• Private, or privately-held properties independent of the Singapore government, or
• Public, which is owned and sold on a leasehold basis by the Singapore government. Examples are the HDB flats and JTC industrial units.
Within the private property segment, there are:
• Residential properties
• Commercial properties
• Industrial properties
Residential properties are further comprised of:
• Landed properties or land houses, including bungalows (or detached houses), semi-detached houses, terrace houses.
• Condominiums and apartments
You can also choose from newly built properties (known also as the "primary market") or existing properties ("secondary market").
